The History Of The Bike To Work Scheme
The Bike To Work scheme was introduced by the government back in 1999. It’s a UK Government tax exemption initiative that was created to not only help the environment but to help promote a healthier lifestyle, specifically on journeys to work.
The Bike To Work scheme has allowed employees up and down the country to loan and eventually own bikes and bike safety equipment with awesome tax free benefits and it’s now available on selected models of our electric bikes too.
How The Bike To Work Scheme Can Help You
Our E Shopper, Model 15 and Rondo all meet with the EAPC regulations and as such, all qualify for the tax incentives, providing you’re going to use your bike to travel to and from work. Generally speaking, the bike to work scheme is provided by the employer so you’ll have to consult with your current employer to make sure they’re taking part.
If they are, you could find yourself enjoying one of the above models for as little as £600. If they aren’t currently signed up to the scheme, you can ask them to do so.
