In fact the Prince has a long history with two wheeled transport and has associated himself with all things green and environmentally friendly.
Unfortunately, though, his previous attempt to ride an electric bike was not a great success. The problem was that the Prince was expecting the bike to propel him by use of the throttle alone but it would not do so.
Of course if he had tried the E RIDER he would have had no such problems and his carbon footprint would have been no greater than that of a pedal cyclist.
