The E RIDER is an electric scooter classed as an ‘electrically assisted pedal cycle’. The rules for operating it are the same as for pedal cycles.
Where is the ERIDER manufactured?
It is made by one of the principal manufacturers in China, where they have been making E bikes for decades. You can see a video of the bike being made here.
How is E RIDERdelivered?
E RIDER is delivered using our “white glove” delivery service. There will be two men on the vehicle and they will deliver to a location of your choice. On delivery, there is a small amount of simple assembly required (basically the front wheel has to be fitted) however full instructions are provided.
How is the E RIDER charged?
The E Rider bike can be charged in two different ways. Firstly, the charger can be attached directly to a charging point on the bike just beneath the seat. Secondly, the battery can be unlocked and removed from the bike and then attached to the charger. Once charged, the battery is returned to the bike.
What is the the E RIDER‘s maximum speed?
The bike is limited to 23km per hour to comply with the EAPC regulations.
Can the E RIDER go faster than 23kph when driven off road?
Unfortunately not. We have set up the bike to be legal when driven on UK roads and cycle tracks
What is the lead time?
E RIDER is stocked in three warehouses located in West Sussex, Cheshire and Carlisle. You will be contacted by your nearest warehouse to arrange a convenient time for delivery. Your bike will normally be despatched within two working days of your order being placed.

What are the requirements to use the E RIDER in the UK?
To operate on UK roads you must follow the same rules that apply to pedal cycles.

How safe is the E RIDER?
It is much safer than riding an ordinary pedal cycle. Unlike a bicycle, the E RIDER has good indicators, lights, brake lights and warning horn. It is light in weight at only 40 kgs so it is easy to handle and braking is highly efficient.
